Family sick and my gas is turned off...........

Financial aid is offered at EVERY accredited college. ? How you paying for school now? If you have limited income, you must know something. I done what your doing, STOP while your ahead! Go to a small department, and get a job. They will send you to the state academy, then go to school. I aimed for the state bureau of investigations, or OKC police dept. both required B.S.'s, unless you have $ you'll only be fed BOLOGNA from the college (***REMEMBER, you are a paying customer to them!***) Chasing the dream, you'll end up like me, working college around life, 20yrs later, & a $25,000 debt in student loans *** DON'T GO THERE!!! College cop training is limited, the instructors are just cops, meaning, they can't tell you much, because most of them that's all they know, & what I mean by that is, had someone told me about prisons, I'd been there. SAME JOB!!! They have work release prisons, min. security, med. security, & max, the academy will train you for all (I ended in these academies, so I know). What you see on cops, is only 10% of the job, the rest is COMMUNITY POLICING, no gun needed! The druggies are getting more & more dangerous, being a cop doesn't mean you put people in jail, it means you make decisions, most come from previous experiences or good calls. If your goal is to contribute to end crime, some of that is going to come from being an example, corrections gives you that chance (Remember, most are not on the stuff right now). Relax, just because your a guard, doesn't mean you can't put people in jail, they mess up, and in every prison, there's jail (Segregated housing, protective custody, and guys a waiting for an out come of their actions, and maybe they will be sent to a more secure prison). Here's the plus, our state, requires NO COLLEGE, same pay as cops, and for each year, it is equal to having a year of college (Except for a few positions). Hi everyone. My name is Justin and I am aspiring to start school to become a police officer. I start in just a couple days. The problem is that there are no jobs that will hire me due to the fact I live in a very small town. The jobs that will hire wont allow me to have a schedule that fits me for the hors I will be at school. I really need some kind of grant or loan that will pay for my expenses such as insurance, gas and food while I attend school. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it very much. Thanks.
